NxtClick was launched in 2017 as the technology and marketing arm for NXT and immediately built lead and part as part of the launch of the Powertrain Company subsidiary. Both lead and part included highly tailored components specifically designed for the automotive industry but at the core were built to be flexible enough to support future industry subsidiaries.
Powertrain Company was sold in the summer of 2019 (a short 18 months from launch date) to a portfolio company of a large private equity firm. During the acquisition of Powertrain Company, the NxtClick team began expanding on the existing codebase to create new and enhanced components for NXT's second subsidiary, Get Metals. Full e-commerce workflows were built because of the unique nature of Get Metals. Additional (ERP) functions for procuring, inventorying, fabricating, shipping, and tracking of custom-cut metal products were also included. These additions were significant enough to necessitate a need to segment everything into a new independent software platform called order. This platform includes many of the existing features of lead and part but reoriented specifically for the needs of Get Metals, Every Window and future industry subsidiaries.
